Untold stories of 2021 at Dreaming Stone!

Life comes in heaping portions…

We give thanks for the blessings
and honor the complicated muck of 2021

We are grateful for all the community support that makes Dreaming Stone Arts and Ecology Center possible. Thanks to all who have invested in this vision and lent support in this awkward “becoming a gathering space amidst a pandemic” phase. Your donations to our annual fund will equip us to do workshops in the garden, cultural events on the land and begin youth programing in 2022!
Help us start strong in 2022

Another turn of the wheel,
Our ring around the sun puts another ring around each tree.
Our relationships accumulate and are seasoned by age…

Dreaming Stone community news from 2021

Glimpse into trials & tribulations…

  • The house by the road, that we were demolishing, burned down! The fire was huge! It was a wake up call and a kick in the pants to clean and clear the land. Time to move forward.
  • We lost our beloved dog, Gypsy, a dutiful old lady who loved this land.
  • Our contractor dropped out of the picture. There remains a smattering of finishing projects to complete the Mothership.
  • Wild mishaps abound as we learn new tools and skills. Mistakes are our teachers. Fewer vehicles rolled into the pond in 2021 than in 2020.

Some sweet things you don’t yet know….

  • My brother completed an Advanced Leadership Development Training with Core, and co-led his first men’s retreat at Dreaming Stone.
  • They built the first shrine on the land- a tribute to the sacred masculie and divine feminine (also above). Many new walking paths have been built
  • Jay Beck is curating an Instagram account that is your daily dose of mythology, spiritual ecology, theopoetics and anarchist humor.
  • I’m developing some skills as a nature photographer and started a daily practice of dancing for my well-being.
  • Some brilliant interspecial photoshoots occured on this land, by Helen Hale. Though still top secret, you will see them when they are unveiled.
  • We got a new puppy – her name is Radar and she bounds like a deer!
  • Many old friends made their way to us in 2021. Here’s a glimpse…

And, building continues… come lend a hand!

We are finally building the Photovoltaic (solar) system! Pics coming soon.

We are hosting 2 weekend work parties in January, to build a deck and dome. We’re limiting numbers and keeping safe protocols, so please RSVP to join…
  • Saturday, January 8th: 10 am – 5 pm
  • Sunday, January 9th: 1 pm – 5 pm
  • Saturday, January 15th: 10 am – 5 pm
  • Sunday, January 16th: 1 pm – 5 pm
Blessing to you in this new year! As we cycle into a new season in this new world of global pandemic, may we all cultivate hospitality for the beautiful and good. May we find healing, hope and a new readiness for the unexpected, which is sure to come. May we all create sanctuary and tend the new shoots!

Enduringly,
