  • Opportunity to join community meals and other optional community activities of The Cairn (the circle of residents that live on the land)
  • Opportunity to engage with, attend, or volunteer for the programs of the Dreaming Stone Arts and Ecology Center.
  • Mindful communication, transparency, and kindness
  • Easy driving distance from all the beauty of western NC – with awesome waterfall hikes 30 minutes away.

Financials

  • The weekly 15 hours of project based work are in exchange for housing, utilities, garden produce, and access to all Dreaming Stone lands. We are not providing food, but you may join biweekly community meals at no cost.
  • You will need your own vehicle. We are 7 miles from town, from the closest grocery stores and other amenities.
  • We acknowledging that unpaid work can preclude folks from low-income/ working-class backgrounds from participating. Dreaming Stone isn’t yet prepared to compensate for work beyond 15 hrs/week, so we ask that you track and manage your time well. If you need information about other potential places of part time employment in the area, let us know.

Timing:

  • You are welcome to move in on June 1st, and stay through Sept 1st. To negotiate an earlier arrival or a longer stay, talk with Tevyn at [email protected]
