I am excited about the year ahead! We will be doing two camps again (dates coming soon), repeating our concert series in the winter, repeating our Contact Improvisation retreats, and our artist residency program. AND, I will be introducing some ambitious new programs meant to strengthen our ecological offerings.
This time of year is full of strategic planning. I relish conversations with our many partners, discussing needs, capacities, and desired impact as we build programs together that serve our community. While we may have unique missions, we share a vision for a healthy and secure future FOR ALL! Oh, the healing and peace we might experience if such a vision were more widely shared!
2026 is already feeling eerily like George Orwell’s dystopian novel “1984”, where Big Brother (the ruling party) controls the masses with doublethink: “War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength”. But we know that the most profound truths are refreshingly simple and point to our interconnectedness rather than divide us.
Stay vigilant! Create Beauty! Remember what you value most!
