We are once again seeking a resident work-trade landmate to live here through the growing season. This person could join anytime after April 1st and can remain through the end of August. We would need 16 hours of project-based labor (mostly garden work), per week, in exchange for use of a fully furnished private dwelling (the dome), use of the Mothership, access to the land, access to garden produce, and communal activities with the community living on site. This place can get busy, so you need to like people and be able to adapt to various levels of activity. Learn more at this link and reach out with any questions.

Our music concert series is named “The Music that Reconnects” in honor of a beloved ancestor, Joanna Macy, whose work and teachings have supported change makers and world builders all over the globe. We encourage you to learn about Joanna Macy’s “Work That Reconnects”, where you will find a treasure trove of resources to support the emotional labor and personal transformation work that enable us to stay engaged in the struggle for a more just and sustainable future.
We must keep up our courage, as each of our unique gifts and callings is needed to support what Macy calls ” The Great Turning.” Our beloved friend Sarah Nahar defines The Great Turning as the transition from a racialized, capitalist, industrial-growth society of death to a life-sustaining society. And, the good news is that this work is vast and inclusive, with countless strategies and approaches to change, though often all falling in one of the following dimensions:
- Holding Actions in Defense of Life
- Transforming the Foundations of our Common Life
- Shifting Perceptions and Values
Dreaming Stone Arts and Ecology Center focuses more of our energy on the last two dimensions of the Great Turning, but we feel deep gratitude for the many ways that folks are holding actions in defense of life.
Blessings on all the work that you do in service to a
life-sustainig society
Enduringly,
Tevyn East
