What is the work of cultural organizers in these times? How do we dream a world beyond crisis and collapse?
We are engaging these questions in the following programs. More thoughts below…

Keep re-membering and reconnecting!

This is a time of unraveling. The threats against land and people are nothing new, but now it feels like we’re pedal to the metal, heading off the cliff. How has it gotten this bad? How will we manage as it gets worse?
When grotesque profit is gained through war, state terror, and the desecration of our land… When children’s futures are stolen, maimed, or cut short, we have a duty to let ourselves be unsettled. How do we hold ourselves and hold each other as we do this messy work of living and offering our gifts in these times?
I am grateful for the many wisdom traditions, faith narratives, social movements, and land-centered traditional cultures that teach about a “good life”, about abundance found through reverence, reciprocity, and restraint. The “good life” that we need has nothing to do with prosperity, comfort, or convenience. We must break this fever of entitlement and dominance that only increases premature deaths and reclaim the medicine of care, cooperation, and community.
We are looking for that medicine in our “A Wilder Way” event and most of our programs. Join when you can.
We are so grateful that you are part of our community, and we hope our work offers hope and sheds light on your path.
Enduringly,
Tevyn East
