Fall Salsa Dance Series

THIS IS A WEEKLY RECURRING EVENT.

This six week course will expand on the fundamentals of Social Salsa Dancing and explore the basics of Salsa Casino Rueda. Casino Rueda is a group Salsa dance that originates from Cuba and involves multiple couples dancing in a circle and switching dance partners at the prompting of the “caller.”
Over the course of our time together, you will learn specific steps and patterns that will help you feel more confident on the dance floor while developing your expressive potential and building community.

Charlie & Carisma will get you moving with your partner with a deeper understanding of each other, yourselves, and the dance! Learn to generate presence and clarity of movement while discovering the freedom of relinquishing to the rhythm of the clave. We will touch on the principles of movement and how you can dance for, with, and against your partner in order to create more dynamic dance experiences.

This course will help you find a sense of ease in your dancing and the pleasure of feeling alive in your body. Come animate your soul with this beginner to intermediate level class, and experience The Joy of Salsa!

What to expect:
– A detailed lesson with plenty of practice time over the course of 1 hour (Tuesdays 6:00 – 7:00 pm).

– A partner is encouraged but not necessary. We will, however, rotate dance partners so be prepared to dance with everyone!

This class will be a cumulative course, and so are requesting that you commit to the full six weeks (no drop-ins).

You may register up until our start date of October 13th, 2026.
$90 for the course ($15 a class).

Charlie has recently moved back stateside after partnering with St Croix Ballroom and Latin Dance Studio, and later Dazzled STX.
