Dreaming Stone Youth Intern

Spend 6 weeks as a paid Dreaming Stone Arts and Ecology Center Intern, and get hands-on experience in the world of cultural programming! Experience the fulfillment that comes with developing new skills, discovering new strengths, and putting them to work in ways that help organizations achieve their goals and dreams.

By the end of this internship, you will have gained notable experiences and exposure to the work of curating and promoting programs, coordinating logistics, communication, volunteer management, program data analysis, and collaborative partnership building.

The position starts in mid June, at $15/hour for 15 hours/week for 6 weeks. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and support volunteers amidst our summer programs, including our annual our Arts, Ecology & Circus Camp. 
  • Attend programmed events, gather feedback and program data, communicate mission and activities to interested parties. 
  • Inventory, research, and handle certain supply purchases for programs.
  • Provide grounds and logistical support to our Arts, Ecology & Circus Camp,
  • Carry a variety of assigned projects and shadow the ED as well as the Operations Manager, in their work to serve participants and make an impact in the community.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of documentation.
  • Hone specific skills in social media outreach, promotion, and content creation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently enrolled in high school or holding a high school diploma.
  • Exemplify our values – collaborative, transparent, inclusive, and reliable.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Move up and down stairs and move and set up equipment, up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Proficient with Google Docs, Microsoft Office products, Social Media platforms.
  • Ability to travel to the Dreaming Stone campus and attend programs.
