October 4th Concert with Chinobay

We are tremendously excited to be kicking off our fall concert series with the brilliant Chinobay as our first performance!

Hailing from the rich musical traditions of Uganda, Chinobay is a musician, cultural ambassador, educator, and a beacon of harmony who has embarked on a journey that has taken him across the globe, spreading the vibrant rhythms and melodies of Africa while inspiring and uplifting audiences everywhere.

As a child, he embarked on a musical journey deeply rooted in the rich traditions of Buganda kingdom musicians. The rhythms that emanated from the Kanyange king’s palace, just a stone’s throw from his childhood home, formed the backdrop of his early years and this immersive musical environment left an indelible mark on him. He embraced the folk tunes he gleaned from these local maestros, crafting early works that paid homage to this cherished heritage

As time unfolded, he undertook the task of revitalizing these classics, all while mastering an array of traditional instruments. Today, he stands as a seasoned songwriter, a dedicated educator, and a bridge-builder between cultures. His original compositions breathe life into the diverse stories of humanity, showcasing Africa in its full spectrum of richness — transcending its portrayal merely as a backdrop for adversity.

This event will be held at Dreaming Stone Arts & Ecology Center on October 4th, 2025 @ 7:00 pm. (Doors open at 6:00pm)
