Two Arts, Ecology, and Circus camps this year!

Join us either June 22nd – 27th or July 20th – 25th

Dreaming Stone Arts and Ecology Center is repeating its much-beloved day camp for youth, ages 8 to 14! Once again, we are doubling our capacity and doing two camps! Educational and recreational programming will run from Monday through Friday, June 22nd – 26th, and again on July 20th – 24th. At the end of each week, family and friends are invited to a performance event and community dinner on Saturday evening (June 27th & July 25th) to experience what the kids learned during the week. It’s the best of family fun!

Instructional programs run from 9 am to 2 pm every day (we ask that campers arrive at 8:45 am). Extended arts activities run through 5:00 pm for those who elect to stay the full day.

Dreaming Stone is excited to welcome back Tree Sa of Soma Tree Cirque Yoga to lead campers in aerial and flow arts, and Rutherford Outdoor Coalition to teach outdoor education and earth skills. The week of June 22nd, campers will study music and composition with a wonderful guest artist. The week of July 20th, campers will receive instruction in West African Drumming with Jay Beck. Visual and theatrical arts will fill the afternoons. The week of June 22nd, campers will learn different approaches to giant puppet crafts and how to bring them to life. The week of July 20th, campers will be led through creative writing, drawing exercises, and graphic zine construction.

Each day will include unique programs that support healthy imaginations, creative expression, and appreciation for nature – featuring excellent environmental educators and teaching artists. Campers will be served nutritious snacks and fresh, free, locally sourced lunches. Together, we will build a culture of respect that values our diverse gifts and unique interests.

Costs:

Programmed Time (9 am – 2 pm) – $265

Extended Activities (9 am – 5 pm) – $340
