Arts, Ecology & Circus Camp 2024
Dreaming Stone Arts and Ecology Center is repeating its much beloved day camp for youth, ages 8 to 14! Educational and recreational programming will run from Monday through Friday, then family and friends are invited to a performance event and community dinner on Saturday evening to experience what the kids learned during the week.
Instructional programs run from 9 to 2 pm every day (we ask that campers arrive at 8:45). Extended activities until 5:00 pm are available for a limited number of campers.
Dreaming Stone is excited to welcome back Tree Sa of Soma Tree Cirque Yoga to lead campers in aerial and flow arts. In addition, campers will receive West African Drumming with Jay Beck and outdoor education with Rutherford Outdoor Coalistion. Each day will include unique programs that support healthy imaginations, creative expression and appreciation for nature. If campers elect to stay the full day, they will have additional opportunities engage with crafts and outdoor recreation.
Our camp features local horticultural experts and special teaching artists. Campers will be served nutritious snacks. Should we secure adequate funding, we will continue our tradition of providing lunches that partially source from Dreaming Stone’s garden. Together, we will build a culture of respect that values our diverse gifts and unique interests.
Programmed Time (9 am – 2 pm) – $240
Extended Activities (9 am – 5 pm) – $315
Full and partial scholarships are available for residents of Rutherford County! You can find a scholarship application here.
We still have a few volunteer shifts to cover, so please consider plugging in and helping these campers have a positive camp experience. You can find our volunteer needs and sign up here.
