We are seeking a Circus Arts teacher, for our Arts, Ecology, and Circus camp, July 10th – 15th, in Rutherford County, NC. This day camp serves children ages 8 to 13, running from 9 am to 2 pm, Mon – Fri, and gathers family and friends for a performance on Saturday. The teaching artist would be expected to lead three 45 minute classes each day, for no more than 10 children at a time. There are camp counselors present to handle unruly behavior and support the children’s focus.

We are interested in a teacher who can teach hard skills while also nurturing an empowering and respectful environment for the campers. This is a great opportunity to develop teaching experience, grow your network, and retreat to a lovely natural setting amidst a hospitable community.

We’d love for our campers to receive instruction in:

• tumbling
• partner acrobatics
• acro yoga
• aerial arts (if you have materials)
• juggling
• spinning & flow arts
• clowning, etc.

This is in service to a small town and rural population with few opportunities for youth. We hope to expand programs for youth in the future.
